Aliyah then starred in the short movies “The First Stone” (2017) and “War Paint” (2018), before she landed her first lead role as Jira Calder-Brennan in the series “The Red Line”., in all eight episodes of this crime drama, starring opposite Noah Wyle and Emayatzy Corinealdi.
The series followed the story of three Chicago families affected by the murder of an African-American doctor killed by a White policeman. It had four award nominations, including the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Award for Outstanding Limited Series.
