Channing Tatum and his ex-wife Jenna Dewan ‘don’t hate each other’ in spite of their ongoing legal battle over money.

Dewan, 43, and Tatum, 43, who are parents to daughter Everly, 10, have been in a protracted court wrangle with the prime focus being the distribution of money he earns via the Magic Mike movie franchise, Dailymail.com reported this month.

Since their split, both have found new romances – Tatum is engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz, 35, while Dewan has been engaged to actor Steve Kazee, 48, since 2020.

Now it has been claimed that Dewan and Tatum are able to retain a cordial relationship with one another as they raise their daughter.

‘They have been coparenting and although the remaining money issues are frustrating, they don’t hate each other,’ a source informed People.

A different insider explained: ‘Both would like to get beyond these final issues. Each is in love with someone else and wants to move ahead.’

A source close to Dewan recently told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Jenna has moved on from her previous relationship and is ready to take the next step with Steve.’

Dewan and Kazee – who are parents to son Callum, four, and announced in January they were expecting their second child – ‘are making plans for their future as a couple,’ the source told the outlet.

‘The two have been planning their upcoming wedding and are hoping to get married by the end of the year,’ the source said. ‘They can’t wait to get married and would love to have a close, intimate wedding with family involved.’

Dewan ‘is eager to settle her legal battle with Tatum,’ a source told the outlet of the extended legal battle over the popular film franchise’s earnings. ‘Jenna, Steve, Channing, and Zoe all understand that family is family at the end of the day and sometimes there are challenges.

‘They are all making an effort to do what’s best for everyone and keep the bigger picture in mind, which is the future of their blended families and working together as a unit.’

The source added that is ‘partly why Jenna is trying to get her financial situation with Channing all sorted out and Steve has been supportive throughout the process.’

The extended court battle has ’caused immense tension in the dynamic recently’ between Dewan and Tatum, an insider told US Weekly Tuesday, adding that they ‘both knew it would take awhile for them to settle their divorce but neither of them thought it would be this long.’

The presiding judge in the case, Judge David Wasserman, said Friday that proceedings have drawn on for too long, noting, ‘This case is too old and the reason it hasn’t been dismissed is because there is a child involved,’ ET reported.

The judge set future court dates for May 15 to address issues of RFO/bifurcation; and July 26 as the final deadline for depositions in the proceedings, with a trial date slated for December 8.

Among those named in the deposition requests include Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, who directed Tatum in 2012’s Magic Mike and 2023’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance, the outlet reported.

Dewan, who plays the role of Bailey Nune on the ABC crime drama The Rookie, appeared to be unaffected by the headline-making court battle.

On Tuesday, she shared a carousel of shots from the set of the series alongside costars Nathan Fillion and Melissa O’Neil, in which she had a trail of fake blood streaming from her forehead.

Dewan, who has been seen on the show since its third season, captioned the shots, ‘SEASON 7! Another season with the most incredible people! So. So. Grateful. @therookieabc.’

On Monday, a rep for Dewan told People that the actress ‘wants to reach a final determination and close this chapter on her life as soon as possible.’

Tatum and Dewan had put one another’s names on a ‘preliminary witness list’ for the trial, according to the court docs reviewed by the outlet.

The main topics to be addressed will be how the former couple’s property holdings are divided; claims of reimbursement; support amounts; a fiduciary duty breach; and legal fees.

Dewan ‘is just looking for a fair resolution of community assets of the marriage under California State Law’ after five years of working toward a settlement and attending multiple meetings on the topic, the rep told the outlet Monday.

An insider close to Tatum said that Dewan’s ‘actions and claims continuously contradict themselves,’ which is the reason that the court proceedings have ‘dragged on’ for years.

‘She says she wants a fair settlement but is ignoring all post-separation work Channing and his partners have done to enhance Magic Mike,’ the Tatum insider told the outlet. ‘She keeps stalling negotiations, but says she wants to resolve this.’

The Tatum source said the Cullman, Alabama-born actor ‘just wants to move on’ in his life and encourages Dewan ‘to move on with her new life as well,’ in an effort to reach a swift settlement at this point.

A separate source told the outlet that Dewan has ‘clearly moved on’ in her life and would ‘like for all the doors to close and for her divorce to be finalized,’ adding that ‘she’s not dragging this on because she wants to or because she’s greedy.’

Dewan is aiming to having her finances with Tatum ‘settled before she gets married again,’ the source close to Dewan said.

The outlet noted that Tatum declines ‘to accept an equal division of the Magic Mike intellectual property’ based off the timeline of the split.

Dewan told the court that the film, its two sequels and other related projects had been ‘developed and co-financed by Channing during [the] marriage with community effort and marital funds.’

Tatum ‘collected 100 percent of the profits’ from his Magic Mike endeavors following their 2018 split, Dewan’s legal team said, adding that he didn’t keep her informed about his business dealings involving the brand.

Tatum’s legal team said that the actor ‘has expended extensive efforts since separation towards the enhancement of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities, which [Tatum] contends give rise to his separate property interest therein.’

The Lost City actor has ‘exhausted all efforts in an attempt to settle this matter without litigation,’ his lawyers told the court.

Tatum is engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz, 35. They were pictured last month in Hollywood, California

Tatum and Dewan initially met working on the 2006 movie Step Up and got engaged in 2008, exchanging vows July 11, 2009 in Malibu, California.

Tatum and Dewan said in a joint statement on April 2, 2018 that they were breaking up: ‘We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together.

‘Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.

The former pair said there were ‘no secrets nor salacious events at the root’ of their decision to part ways, as they just realized it was ‘time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.’

They wrapped up in saying, ‘We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents to Everly.’
