BBC The One Show Zendaya appearance sparks concern for co-star as viewers ask same question

BBC The One Show fans are all asking the same question about Zendaya’s co-star after she appeared on the BBC sofa with him to plug her latest flick.

Zendaya was on the One Show sofa with Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor to promote their new film Challengers, which tells the story of a tennis prodigy turned coach Tashi Duncan.

But although fans loved seeing Spider-Man MJ star Zendaya looking ‘gorgeous’, several viewers expressed concern for her co-star Mike Faist, who is set to appear in the upcoming sport drama alongside her.

Talking to the hosts, Mike said: “We’ve been doing this press tour for a while and I’m realising more and more how competitive Zendaya is.

“She keeps, like today we were at a press conference and she asks who’s the best and she straight away [puts hand up].

“Unapologetically. You’re a monster, you’re crazy.”

Zendaya added about the film: “We keep talking about romance and I’m not sure it’s all that romantic in this film, there’s a little bit of co-dependency, there’s some hatred, I think what drew me in is that these characters are incredibly complex and messy and human.

“Particularly when it comes to Tashi, she’s, you know, has her moments, she’s not the easiest person, but I think there also is a fragility to her as well and it was about finding that balance as well.”
