In the early stages of Seth Rogen’s relationship with Lauren Miller, her mother Adele was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Together, Rogen and Miller decided to move her parents to Los Angeles and bought a duplex so her father, mother, and mother’s caretaker could live comfortably, but they wanted to do more to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research.
So, in 2012, Rogen and Miller founded Hilarity For Charity, a nonprofit that hosts various programs and events to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research. In January 2022, the organization celebrated its 10-year anniversary, and Miller honored the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post. She wrote, “Happy Birthday to @wearehfc. Somehow it’s been 10 years from that first incredible event.
