Thousands of people have been hit with Facebook problems as people scramble to find out why they have been shown an error message on Facebook while WhatsApp chats appear to be having issues sending.
The social media platform is still online for many but DownDetector is showing a huge spike in errors and outages for users across the UK.
Others have had problems sending WhatsApp messages.

Facebook has not yet put out a statement which explains why Facebook is suffering outage issues and outage is expected to last.
The issues do not appear to be as severe as last time in early March, where users were presented with ‘session expired’ messages but users have seen problems sending WhatsApps tonight.
