A 33-year-old man has been charged over allegations he took inappropriate images of women without their permission inside several Perth shopping centres.

In December 2023, the man from Menora was allegedly at a shopping centre in Karrinyup and used his phone to film under a woman’s skirt inside one of the stores.

Then in January, the man entered a change room and allegedly used his phone to try and take pictures of a teenager in the adjoining change room in a clothing store within a shopping centre in Midland.

On January 17, detectives searched the man’s home and his electronic devices were seized.

A forensic analysis of the equipment allegedly identified a number of images of women partially naked or undressed taken whilst they were in change room stalls.

Further images appear to have been taken in various gyms and shopping centres across the Perth metropolitan area.
