It’s springtime on the farm and Helen Skelton returned to TV tonight with the aptly named Springtime On The Farm.
But fans issued the same complaint to the former Strictly star minutes into her return on the Channel 5 farming show.
The programme, broadcast from Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has been a mainstay of Channel 5 for several years, flipping between Winter on the Farm and Springtime on the Farm twice a year, and always hosted by former Strictly Come Dancing runner-up Helen Skelton.

Tonight, Helen returned to the farm and to TV screens with a slightly eyepopping opening with some lambing, followed by a segment on cows and a cameo from a Yorkshire vet talking about wild tigers.
Viewers then saw a video piece from a farmer in Leeds who gave up law to become a flower arranger and farmer.

In another piece, Helen caught up with the sad story of a donkey which lost its foal to a stillbirth.
But fans had the same complaint for Helen, her co-star Jules Hudson and Channel 5.
Springtime/Winter On the Farm used to be broadcast live but now the format has been changed for some reason and the programme no longer goes out live.
Fans of the show and of Helen said the show ‘just does not have the same feel’ now that it’s pre-recorded.
