Ezaki Hikaru was reared in Fukuoka, Japan, and was born on March 12, 2004. She has been singing professionally since she was a little child. Up until the age of ten, she was too busy with her academics and playing with friends to ever learn how to sing. Yet when she was 11 years old, her money decided her future and moved her attention to singing. Ezaki started taking singing lessons after turning ten and gaining comprehension. Ezaki initially skipped taking lessons from a vocal coach.

While in school, she continued to hone her singing skills, and when she was about 12 years old in 2016, she enrolled in the Avex Artist Academy’s Kids trainee program and joined the duet group +Gang. She joined this company at the Fukuoka branch, where she was given the name Miss Hikarun. She performed in five solo events while she was in school and was a part of +Gang for more than two years. Yet, she persisted in enrolling in the Avex Arts Academy Fukuoka as a trainee.

She received a confirmation later and joined the program on July 19, 2021. The shows began airing on August 6 and ended on October 22, 2021. Ezaki was a part of the J-group, a group of 99 participants split into three groups, during her time in the program. Even though Ezaki Hikaru reached the show’s championship round, she lost. She received 713322 votes, placing seventh in the competition.

After being selected as a finalist, she joined the Kep1er group, which CJ E&M started by including 8 other concert-goers who had survived Girls Planet 999. The group includes Shen Xiaoting, Huening Bahiyyih, Kim Chae-Hyun, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-Yeon, Seo Young-Eun, Kang Ye-Seo, and Hikaru Ezaki. The entire ensemble is handled and managed by Swing Entertainment and Wake One Entertainment. On January 3, 2022, this band officially makes its entrance with the publication of its first EP. In the Kep1er music video Wa Da Da, which will be made available internationally in January 2022, Ezaki makes an appearance.
