When Treylon Burks went down during a Tennessee Titans–Minnesota Vikings joint practice a couple of weeks ago, the hearts of Titans fans sunk to their stomachs.
They were quickly greeted with reports that Burks’ ACL had been spared, but an LCL sprain was expected to him keep out for a little while, with the beginning of the regular season in jeopardy.
But just 12 days after the injury occurred, Burks returned to practice, and delivered an incredibly acrobatic catch during a drill. He even landed on the previously injured left knee to boot.

We still need to see how Burks’ knee holds up to consistent usage and contact once games roll around, but it’s amazing that Burks is already seemingly back to full health.
When he injured the knee, he couldn’t even put weight on it and had to be carted off the practice field. Whenever a cart comes out, alarms start going off in everyone’s heads.

But Burks is back and ready to build on what had been an impressive training camp up until the injury. The second-year wideout will form a dynamic duo at the position with newly acquired veteran DeAndre Hopkins.
The Titans need Burks to make a sophomore season leap in order for the offense to be more explosive as a whole. Ryan Tannehill missed a chunk of games last season, but the Titans were the third-worst team in terms of passing yards per game. They need to improve on that if they want to win the AFC South again.
