Star of Channel 5 ’s Our Yorkshire Farm, Amanda Owen has issued an update on the ongoing repair of Anty Johns.
Former couple Amanda and Clive purchased the 18th century property called High Smithy Holme – better known as Anty Johns – before their split in 2022. The property has been empty for the best part of six decades and has been in dire need of repair.
The Owens decided to transform Anty Johns into a habitable space – with a collapsed roof high on the list of priorities. Their son Reuben was the first to share a peek at the restoration in 2023 as he confirmed Amanda and Clive had joined forces once again for the project.

Taking to Twitter, the Yorkshire shepherdess shared photos of her children tending to sheep on the Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire, along with a sneak peak of the ongoing restoration work taking place.
The post, captioned “Windy and wild on the tops today” showed scaffolding surrounding the building, along with new wooden beams which have been erected to support the previously crumbling roof.

The post comes a week after Amanda made her return Twitter after taking a short break from social media. Upon her return, she was flooded with messages of support from fans who were begging the Channel 5 star to bring the show back to our TV screens .
According to reports, Clive and Amanda are working together on the restoration of Anty John’s, which will be featured in a new Channel 4 show. It comes after it was revealed that Amanda shut Ravenseat’s doors to the public earlier this year.
