An elderly man was hit by a glass and robbed of his mobile phone in a savage Huddersfield pub attack.

West Yorkshire Police have released photographs of a woman they urgently want to speak to following the violence against a vulnerable 79-year-old. The man has suffered injuries as a result of the glassing and his mobile phone was stolen.

The police force have not said which pub it happened in, or the location of it, but said it happened in a pub on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 3, and that Kirklees District CID are investigating.

Today, they have released CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to as they track down the person responsible. In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: “Police investigating a robbery in which an elderly man was injured have released images of a woman they would like to identify.

“The incident occurred in a pub in Huddersfield yesterday (Tuesday) and resulted in the 79-year-old victim, who suffered injuries after being hit by a glass, also having his mobile phone stolen.

“If you can identify this woman then please contact Kirklees District CID”.
