These are the first shocking photos from the tragic crash in Barnsley which left two dead and seven others injured.
The crash happened just before 2pm and is thought to have involved up to six vehicles. A Blue mini, red SUV and Range Rover were among the cars involved.
Police confirmed that two people were killed in the crash at Barugh Green junction which connects Cawthorne Road, Barugh Green Road and High Common Road. They said a further seven were seriously injured.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We were called at 2pm today (Saturday 23 March) to reports of a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles, at the Barugh Green crossroad junction in Barnsley. Officers are currently attending alongside the fire and ambulance services.
“Two people have sadly been pronounced dead at the scene. A further seven people are receiving hospital treatment, where their injuries are serious, but not thought to be life-threatening.”
