Andre Onana’s handling woes continued as Man United players returned home following their Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, with the goalkeeper pictured dropping his car keys.

Onana was at fault for the opening goal of Man United’s 4-3 defeat to the German champions after allowing Leroy Sane‘s weak shot to slip through his grasp.

The goalkeeper has earned praise for his response to the setback after requesting television interviews post-match to front up to the mistake.

‘It’s a difficult situation for me, I let the team down. It’s because of me we didn’t win this game,’ said Onana, who joined Man United this summer for £47.2m.

‘We started very well and after my mistake we lost control of the game. I still have a lot to prove (to the fans). My start hasn’t been so good, not how I wanted.’
