It’s official, everything points at coach Deion Sanders not being interested in recruiting any high school players for his Colorado Buffaloes football program. Last Wednesday, the NCAA went through the National Signing Day and the early signing day is going to end on Friday. Pretty much all of the teams are stocking up on new players for the coming years, but not Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes. They are getting multiple new players but almost none of them is coming from high school. As of Friday morning, Deion Sanders’ Colorado program has only signed a total of five players who are coming directly from high school. Although these numbers may change by the end of Friday.
The Buffaloes signed four star wide receiver Drelon Miller. They also got four star athlete Kamron Mikell. Four star defensive lineman Brandon Davis Swain also came from high school. Three star defensive lineman Eric Brantley and three star runningback Micah Welch complete this short list. Also, five star recruit Jordan Seaton has reportedly already made a verbal agreement with Sanders to play for the Buffaloes next season. However, the youngster did not sign his new deal last Wednesday. As a reslt of this, multiple outlets are expecting him to flip to Maryland.
How many more transfers will Colorado still make?
According to the local bet news close to the team, Colorado does have 16 incoming transfers and that will be Coach Prime’s strategy. Get the best possible players he can and not even pay too much attention to high school players. College football is mostly about getting the best possible diamonds in the raw from high schools and polish them in the program. But Sanders doesn’t seem like he wants to do that, he has no time to waste after the major letdown his debut season in Colorado turned out to be.
