Saturday Night Takeaway viewers were convinced Maya Jama swore live on the ITV show.

The Love Island presenter, 29, appeared as the latest Star Guest Announcer on Ant & Dec‘s Saturday Night Takeaway.

And several times during her appearance, Maya had to announce the end of the show show which was a performance from the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang On Tour – a brand new production of the much-loved family favourite.

At one point, Maya said: ‘The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gang…ooh gosh! They are here for the End Of The Show Show, see you after the break.’

However, it sounded like Maya swore and before cutting to an ad break, she pointed to the camera and exclaimed: ‘That was close!’

After the on-air blunder, one fan wrote on social media platform X: ‘Why can’t Maya say Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?’;

‘Maya Jama trying not to say Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every five minutes’;

‘Maya is fully just saying Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang everytime’

Maya looked incredible in a tight white vest with high-waisted slim black trousers and a chunky black belt.

She finished her look with a sleek ponytail and a red lip and rocked out behind the audience – making sure to have a Love Island water bottle at her side.

Saturday’s Takeaway was the fourth episode of the twentieth series of the variety show, the last series before it goes on hiatus.

Earlier in the day, Maya treated over three million Instagram followers to a behind the glimpse with celebrity hairstylist Patrick Wilson.

In February, Ant and Dec revealed Takeaway is going on hiatus so they can focus more on family time, ahead of Ant welcoming his first child.

Speaking to Fault Magazine , Ant said: ‘O n a more personal level, part of the reason we’re pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family.
