easyJet Holidays is giving away free holiday spots for grandparents to travel with their families. The firm’s research indicated half of families have never been on a foreign trip with their grandparents.

The offer allows elders to go without charge on family bookings to places in Europe including Spain, Greece and Italy. Over half of Brits surveyed want to spend more time with their grandparents on future holidays, according to easyJet’s poll of 2,000 adults.

Matt Callaghan, from easyJet Holidays expressed pride in the scheme, stating: “We’re proud to offer thousands of free kids’ places, but we feel it’s time to recognise the grandparents. This research shows how important grandparent and grandchild relationships are and how much can be learned from making time for them.”
