According to People magazine, Menounos received the diagnosis back in January, a month before announcing her pregnancy with her husband Keven Undergaro via a surrogate. After undergoing surgery to remove a 3.9 cm tumor on her pancreas, Menounos expressed her surprise at her double health challenge, having previously been treated for a benign brain tumor in 2017. Her exact diagnosis was stage two pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, a type of cancer. Menounos admitted that the surgery and her recovery were “super painful”, and she found it difficult to move or lift herself up.
