Marie Osmond

Marie arrived after Sara Gilbert announced her departure in 2019. Shortly after making her debut as a full-time cohost that September, the “Paper Roses” songstress said she couldn’t have fit in with the crew any better.

“OK, you want a scoop? We actually like each other … shocker,” Marie adorably joked during an exclusive interview with Closer in October 2019. “I’ve been telling everybody I’m so happy because now I’m on the group text, so it’s like, ‘Lunch here, we will meet up here.’ It’s just so fun.”

Sadly, the Donny & Marie star revealed she was leaving the hit daytime talk show after just one season in September 2020. Like Sara, Marie was “looking forward to spending more time” with her husband, Steve Craig, and their children, Stephen, Jessica, Rachael, Brandon, Brianna, Matthew and Abigail, an insider dished to Closer.

Although fans wouldn’t longer see Marie on The Talk, she had a few projects lined up, including a new series with ViacomCBS. According to Deadline, the iconic singer collaborated with The Talk showrunner and executive producer John Redmann, who also left the program after 10 seasons.

“One of the highlights of my year at The Talk was working with my dear friend John Redmann,” Marie shared in her statement. “I’m excited to continue our working relationship on several projects we are developing.”

We can’t wait to see what Marie has in store!
