And sticking with Villa, Unai Emery’s side are monitoring Norwich star Jonathan Rowe.

They’ve had an incredible campaign so far under the former Sevilla, PSG and Arsenal boss, and will be hoping to go as close as they can to challenging the likes of Liverpool, City and the Gunners for the top four.

Villa are also in talks with Middlesbrough over a move for Morgan Rogers, as Emery looks to keep his squad ticking over in the second half of the season.

Boro have rejected a second offer for Rogers – who joined for £11m – but discussions between the two parties are still ongoing.

There’s something in the air this morning clearly.

Aston Villa have confirmed that Leander Dendoncker has joined Napoli on loan until the end of the season.

He played 15 times this season for Unai Emery’s side, scoring once against Man United, and will not help Napoli rescue what has been a desperate follow-up to their Serie A winning campaign last season.

Villarreal ‘open talks for former Watford star Ismaila Sarr’

Plenty going on across the transfer window as we close in on deadline day, and now Villarreal are thought to have opened talks with Marseille over a move for Ismaila Sarr.

The former Watford star – who was frequently linked with the likes of Liverpool in his time at Vicarage Road – has only four goals and two assists for the French side since joining last summer.

As reported, the player has given a green light for a move that is thought to be a loan with option to buy for the Spanish side.

As promised, here is our GOSSIP COLUMN for today – and there’s some very juicy lines in there – here’s a few of the highlights:

  • Emile Smith Rowe has struggled for game time at Arsenal, but he could be in line for a move to Germany with RB Leipzig interested in a shock swoop
  • Karim Benzema’s future at Al-Ittihad is still up in the air, and former club Real Madrid are thought to be considering a return for the Ballon d’Or winner.
  • Man United have been linked with a variety of attackers in recent windows, but with Los Blancos eyeing up a move for another forward, Vinicius Jnr could be let go to make way

All that and MORE in our column, which you can check out at the link below!

That’s right, West Ham have confirmed the loan signing of Man City’s Kalvin Phillips until the end of the season!

It’s been a pretty rough 18 months for the midfielder since joining Pep Guardiola’s side, but he’ll be hoping to hit some form in east London and bolster his chances of making the Euros squad next summer.

‘There’s so much to look forward to in the second half of the season for the Club and I can’t wait to be part of it,’ he said on Friday morning.

‘There’s an unbelievable group here and if I can come in and add the quality that I know I’m capable of, I’m sure we can give the West Ham fans plenty to be excited about between now and the end of the season.’

And new boss Dabid Moyes added: ‘We’ve been big admirers of him for a long time and we believe that he will add strength and competition to our squad.’
