A resurfaced video of Tom Sandoval auditioning to be a model on 2000s reality show The Hills has gone viral in light of his cheating scandal.

The reality TV personality, 38, was recently exposed for having had an illicit affair with Vanderpump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss, 28.

The explosive revelation ended his nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix, 37, and alienated a number of other cast members who took his ex-girlfriend’s side.

And a recent Instagram video showing one of Sandoval’s cameo appearances from 2006 poked fun at the dramatic developments and said: ‘Imagine knowing this random guy would cause one of the biggest scandals in Bravo history.’

In the resurfaced clip from Season 1 Episode 8, which aired in 2006, Sandoval makes a cameo which leaves a lot to be desired – and Lauren Conrad looks less than impressed

In the clip, which was posted to Instagram by Bravo By Betches, Sandoval can be seen auditioning on MTV’s The Hills.

The hit series, which ran for six seasons, followed ‘a privileged pack of pretty people living in Los Angeles as they navigate the ups and downs of their friendships, careers and romances.’

And in the resurfaced snippet from Season 1 Episode 8, which aired in 2006, Sandoval makes a cameo which leaves a lot to be desired. 

During the episode, The Hills star Lauren Conrad and her colleague Whitney Port – who were working for Teen Vogue at the time – were told by their boss Lisa Love to conducts a model casting for an upcoming issue of the magazine, which Sandoval attended. 

The viral clip shows him sitting in front of a panel – including Lauren – in nothing but his swimming trunks.

The would-be star looks relaxed as he leans back and casually rests his arms on the chair.

The original audio is not discernable but other renditions have revealed the extent of the conversation.

A member of the casting team begins by asking Sandoval: ‘How long have you been in LA?’

Other social media users were quick to share their own thoughts as well – describing his appearance as a ‘jump scare’

The hit MTV series – which was a spin-off from reality show Laguna Beach – premiered in 2006

Sandoval replies that he has been around ‘for about six months or so’ before being asked if he likes it, to which he issues a somewhat lackluster response and says: ‘Yeah it’s cool, definitely.’ 

The interviewer presses him further and asks whether he has come out to ‘act, model, the whole deal.’

And Sandoval once again shows little pizazz as he admits: ‘Yeah pretty much. That and music.’

The scene continuously cuts back to Lauren Conrad’s face who looks less than impressed with the auditionee.

The clip had text overwritten that read: ‘Imagine knowing in 2006 that this random guy from a model casting on The Hills would eventually cause one of the biggest scandals in Bravo history.’

And other social media users were quick to share their own thoughts.

One wrote: ‘To know that this man is at the heart of a scandal of this magnitude is BLOWING MY MIND.’

Another added: ‘Lauren Conrad looks like she knew something was up LOL.’

And a third said: ‘I re-watched The Hills this weekend and I forgot he was on it and it was a total jump scare.’

In the Series 10 finale of Vanderpump Rules, which aired earlier this month, Madix and Sandoval had an epic confrontation over his infidelity.

‘Do you want anything?’ Sandoval asked Madix, to which she replied: ‘For you to die.’

‘I regret every moment that I stood up for you, defended you, supported you. You’re worth nothing and I want you to feel that deep in your soul,’ she told him during the brutal conversation.

‘I want you to hear those words coming from the mouth of the woman that f*****g stood by you and loved you and was ready to build the rest of my life around you.

‘Hear my words and know that’s how I feel about you. I regret ever loving you.’ 

It has since been revealed that contract negotiations for the cast of Vanderpump Rules have been paused amid the aftermath of the scandal.
