Who Is Tobymac Dead Son Truett Foster McKeehan?

Toby Mac stated in a statement released shortly after the death that his son “had an excitement that took the room when he arrived,” a piece of information that was quickly released following the death.

“He was a kid, a brother, and a magnetic pal.” If you had run into him, you would have recognized him. His chuckle, grin, and words of encouragement he gave without saying anything. He had lofty goals and an unstoppable magnificent personality.

McKeehan had a song on a gold album when he was six years old. The rapper’s son then made his musical debut alongside his father on his father’s 2004 album “Welcome To Diverse City.”

McKeehan made five consecutive TobyMac albums, frequently with his devoted song, until the age of 16, allowing fans to witness his development.

He began to carve out a career for himself over the last two years, and in June, he released “Eyes,” his most recent self-produced song.

TobyMac and his family established the Truett Foster Foundation in McKeehan’s honor, which raises funds for underprivileged children to attend college.

The organization hopes to use the funds raised to provide college scholarships to underprivileged children so they can “realize their God-given potential to affect the lives of others.”

TobyMac’s new song, “21 Years,” which deals with the untimely death of his oldest son, was published earlier this month.

TobyMac published a note with the release of “21 Years” that described the pain that followed. But according to him, the song offers “an honest revelation of the questions, anguish, fury, doubt, kindness, and optimism that reflects the journey I’m likely only beginning.”

In the chorus of this four-minute contemplation, TobyMac sings: “Do you join the angels in song? Are you happy where you are now? God has you in Heaven, but I have you in my heart till this play is over, and you run into my arms.”

When The Tennessean approached TobyMac for a response after the passing of his kid, a representative said, “The song is his message.”

What Was Truett Foster McKeehan’s Death Cause?

TobyMac’s son died after accidentally overdosing on fentanyl and amphetamines, according to Davidson County autopsy and toxicology findings.

Truett Foster McKeehan, the Christian rapper’s 21-year-old son, died on October 23 in Nashville. McKeehan was discovered at a residence in the 3000 block of Harlin Drive, about seven miles south of the city’s downtown, in the Radnor suburb.

McKeehan died from “acute mixed drug intoxication,” according to an autopsy completed on October 24 by Davidson County Medical Examiner Feng Li. His demise was unintended.

According to the report, McKeehan had a history of drug, alcohol, and possibly nitrous oxide abuse. On October 23, a friend conducting a welfare check discovered him unconscious in bed. Nitrous oxide is also known as laughing gas.

In addition to fentanyl, a toxicology report revealed that McKeehan had Adderall and marijuana in his system at the time of his death. Unfortunately, Metro Nashville police did not make the presumed cause of death public first.
