Former women’s champion Liv Morgan‘s recent arrest has sparked interest and concern among wrestling fans, and additional details about the incident and the legal process she now faces have surfaced.

Morgan was reportedly arrested at 22:04 on Friday for the “possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) and possession of a drug, possibly synthetic cannabinoid.”

Although initial reports indicated that she had posted bail and been released from jail, further legal proceedings await her.

What charges could Liv Morgan face?

According to PW Insider, Morgan is set to be arraigned on the mentioned charges on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Sumter County Courthouse in Florida, scheduled for 09:00. During the arraignment, she will enter a plea in response to the charges.

In Florida, possession of synthetic cannabinoids is considered a felony, carrying potential penalties of up to one year in jail, a maximum of one year on probation, and a fine of $1,000.

Similarly, possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) is a first-degree misdemeanor in the state, punishable by up to a year in jail or on probation, a $1,000 fine, a six-month driving license suspension, and random drug testing.
