Why is Bernard Tomic’s girlfriend Vanessa Sierra is quarantining with the tennis star?

Furious Australian sports fans have questioned why the glamorous girlfriend of Bernard Tomic is currently quarantining with the fallen tennis star.

OnlyFans adult entertainer Vanessa Sierra, who went public with her relationship with Tomic last November, joined her man in Doha last week where Tomic shocked many after successfully qualifying for the Australian Open.

The pair then commenced 14 days of hotel quarantine after flying into Melbourne from Qatar last week.

As she is Australian and had been abroad, Sierra is allowed to do mandatory quarantine in hotels for two weeks like any citizen.

But fans who weren’t aware that the model joined Tomic abroad, or is Australian herself, were scathing after she posted a number of photos on social media from their hotel room.

One commented: In these pandemic riddled times, where is Tomic’s girlfriend here (in quarantine)… every unnecessary person who travels increases the chances of the infection being present. What was the reasoning behind this?’

Another simply stated: ‘Why exactly is Tomic’s girlfriend here? Have all the players brought partners? Ridiculous.’

Tomic has infuriated many tennis fans in recent years with his antics.

On court, he has been repeatedly fined for tanking matches, and after failing to qualify for the Australian Open in 2018, he sarcastically told a scrum of journalists he was happy to ‘count his millions.’

‘I just count money, that’s all I do. I count my millions,’ he said at the time.

‘You go do what I did [on court]. Bye bye. ‘You go make 13-14 million [dollars]. Good luck guys.’

The former junior prodigy, who won the Australian Open boys title aged just 15 before entering the professional ranks in 2008, was quick to tell the media in Doha he was ‘risking his life’ for the sport by stepping out on court during a global pandemic.

He then created instant headlines after declaring he ‘doesn’t need to play tennis again, I’ve got enough money.’

Tomic is preparing for the Australian Open next month in unusual circumstances – hotel quarantine in Melbourne with his OnlyFans partner.

Ms Sierra on Sunday night shared a video from inside their room as she flopped on to the bed, only to fall between the two twin bed that were pushed together.

‘Mandatory hotel quarantine is going great, hbu (how about you)?’ she wrote.

Last week, Sierra posted photos and videos to social media of herself accompanying her lover to Qatar to watch him play.

In a TikTok video, she said: ‘Bernard was so cute on the flight. He wanted us to watch the same movie at the exact same time, so he timed our screens perfectly.’

Despite flying in the comfort of business class, Vanessa described the trip as ‘such a long process’ because of restrictions cause by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sierra also shared a cosy photo of herself and Bernard on the plane, with her legs draped over his lap, captioning it: ‘First trip with my babyyyy.’

Australians are only allowed to travel abroad in exceptional circumstances since the international borders shut on March 20 – including by proving they will stay overseas for at least three months or being there for work.

The couple were in Doha for a matter of days.

Another video showed the pair working out in their Doha hotel room together with Sierra holding Tomic’s leg while he stretched.

Vanessa debuted her relationship with Bernard in November.

On Thursday, she celebrated Tomic’s qualification in a playful Instagram video in which she appeared to be tying her shoes while holding the tennis pro’s orange racket.

Tomic then asks her to pass his blue racket, and through a special effect she changes its colour by tapping it until it turns blue.

In the caption, she praised her boyfriend’s hard work on the court, writing: ‘Racket got some special powers congrats to my baby on qualifying for the Aus open.’

The sportsman previously admitted he felt ‘trapped’ by tennis and would rather relax and live off his prize money.

But the ban on international travel due to the pandemic has reignited Tomic’s appreciation for his childhood sport.

After his showdown triumph over fellow Aussie John-Patrick Smith in Doha, which earnt direct qualification into the men’s singles draw in Melbourne, the Gold Coast based Tomic said he could still compete at the top level for another seven years.

‘So I feel like now I’ve rested, I’m ready and I’ve given myself a chance to put in at least another, let’s say, four, five, six… seven years,’ he said.

‘I ain’t got to play to 38, 39 — there’s some guys out there playing at that age, there’s no chance that’s me.

‘But seven years done — 35? If I’m still top 50, top 100 then yeah, I’ll keep playing.’

In recent days, a number of professional tennis players have enraged many after complaining about life in hotel quarantine after flying into Australia from abroad.

World number one Novak Djokovic has led the charge, asking Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley to ‘move as many players as possible to private houses with courts to train’.

He also suggested they be provided with fitness training and be allowed to see their coaches and physical trainers.
