VLADIMIR Putin’s feared FSB agents have arrested a so-called spy for blowing up a “traitorous” Ukrainian secret service colonel.

Chilling footage released by the Russian secret service shows the suspect being ruthlessly tackled to the ground, handcuffed and screamed at by agents as he “confesses” to planting the car bomb.

The man is accused of planting the near lethal explosive under the motor of ex-Ukrainian intelligence colonel Vasily Prozorov – leaving him with nasty arm and leg injuries.

Prozorov, 48, is infamous in Kyiv as a “traitor” after he proudly boasted about switching allegiances over to Russia and aiding their intelligence services.

Russian investigators announced last week they had launched a criminal investigation into the bomb plot.

As today, the FSB issued a video showing the suspected bomber being arrested as he “confessed” to planting the weapon.

The FSB added they were collecting more evidence to charge the man with high treason.

If found guilty he could face life in prison.

The unnamed suspect is believed to be a Russian citizen who has been living in Ukraine since reportedly being “recruited by the SBU” – the Ukrainian secret service.

Footage shows him being thrown to the ground and shouted at by Russian agents asking if he is armed.

The man then “confesses” to planting the bomb in the back of an FSB van.

Shaun Pinner, former British military & Ukrainian marine captured by Russians explains their brutal torture techniques

He says: “I am a Russian citizen of Russia, living in Ukraine since 2010. In November 2023, I was recruited by the SBU.

“In February, my supervisor reported that the head of the SBU, [Vasyl] Malyuk, had ordered me to go to Moscow and follow a Toyota Prado car located at Korovinskoye Highway, 3, which I did…

“Then the task changed and I was told to assemble a bomb.

“My supervisor helped me with this. I assembled it using the instructions

“And on 9 April, at approximately 2am, I attached this bomb to the bottom of the car.”

Russia has been accused of torturing several detainees since the war in Ukraine begun.

Many have declared the torture excessive and said it is a way the Kremlin could be making people confess to things through sheer fear.

Tortured Brit prisoner Shaun Pinner, 50, even won a landmark legal case against Putin after being electrocuted, beaten and starved by Russian troops, The Sun recently revealed.

THE CAR BOMBING

Chilling footage showed the Prozorov’s Toyota Land Cruiser Prado blowing up the moment he got into it due to the powerful explosive.

The defector managed to escape the car and only suffered non-life threatening injuries.

His car was left completely mangled following the explosion, with a side door detached from the body of the car, curled up from the bottom.

Many other parts of the SUV lay scattered beneath it.

The FSB said in a statement: “He (the suspect) arrived in Russia in March of this year, received parts for a radio-controlled explosive device and assembled the explosive device.

“After carrying out reconnaissance in the area of the address of the ex-SBU employee, carried out the car bombing.”

Prozorov has caused intense pain for Ukrainians in recent weeks after he sensationally told the media Ukraine was behind the horrific Crocus City Hall concert shooting.

At least 133 people were killed and over 121 wounded in Russia’s deadliest terrorist attack in 20 years.

Terror group ISIS claimed the brutal massacre as their own vicious work after gunmen were seen storming the concert hall in March.

I am absolutely sure that there are Ukrainian fingerprints on what happened at Crocus City Hall

Despite the terror group taking responsibility Prozorov still spouted out uninformed opinions accusing Ukraine of causing it.

He rejected that it was the work of ISIS, claiming it was nothing like terrorist attacks “conducted by Islamic fundamentalists, whose ultimate goal is to die battling infidels”.

He said at the time: “I am absolutely sure that there are Ukrainian fingerprints on what happened at Crocus City Hall.

“It’s a Ukraine-invented pattern of action…”

RAILWAY BLAST PLOT

It comes as the FSB also claimed they thwarted Ukrainian plans to blow up the world famous Trans-Siberian Railway.

Armed officers reportedly smashed their way into a flat in Yurga – 2,200miles east of Moscow – and detained a 28-year-old man.

The Russian service announced the man had contacted someone in Ukraine and “agreed to set fire to relay cabinets on a section of the Trans-Siberian Railway” in exchange for cash.

The unnamed suspect was preparing ten attacks to the railway line that connects Moscow with Vladivostok, say the FSB allegations.

They continued saying: “Containers with flammable liquid, tools and a map of the railway section were confiscated at the defendant’s place of residence.

“The man has been repeatedly prosecuted for a series of thefts and robberies and uses drugs.

“After his release from prison, in search of income, he turned through a messenger to unknown people who offered to set fire to railway equipment for a monetary reward.”

If convicted he could face 10-years behind bars but Russia has plans to increase the current law to allow for a maximum sentence of 35-years.
