New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is seemingly against using sunscreen, at least judging by his like on the tweet of former NFL player Russell Okung, who claims “corporations push propaganda machines to make the masses believe the sun is bad for them.”
Okung, 35, tweeted out a story on Monday of how he had to explain to his 4-year-old why they don’t use sunscreen despite everyone else lathering it all over their bodies.

“Proud based parent moment,” Okung tweeted. “My four year old stopped me asked why other people use sunscreen. I looked at him seriously and responded, ‘Corporations push propaganda machines to make the masses believe the sun is bad for them. We have a different view, now let’s go.'”
Rodgers, 39, is known for his alternative views on several subjects, including vaccines, so it’s not entirely impossible that he agrees with Okung’s sunscreen take.
Is it bad to use sunscreen?
Rodgers is unapologetically himself, but he should really be more careful about promoting false information.
While the sun is obviously great for humanity, it’s important to use sunscreen when exposed to UV rays for an extended period of time, especially children.
Okung retired from the league earlier this year and went viral for shedding his offensive tackle body with an interesting dietary choice.
