Michael Frederick converts a set shot from about 40m, edging the Dockers ahead by 11 points with more than 17 minutes left on the clock. Frederick had marked after a clever pass from James Aish.

There have been several players slipping over tonight, most notably Aaron Naughton, but the Dockers have told Fox Footy there was no change to the venue’s preparation this week.
Meanwhile, Tom Liberatore was a late withdrawal because of gastro-type symptoms. The Bulldogs expect him to return next week.
The Dockers lead by three points at the main break, led by Nat Fyfe’s 22 touches (16 handballs), eight of which are contested. He also has eight score involvements, and 222m gained.
Bulldogs skipper Marcus Bontempelli has 13, while Bailey Dale has 19 – a fortnight after playing in the VFL. Of course, he had 39 touches in the AFL last week.
