BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2023 launch show live updates as couples announced

The brand new season of Strictly Come Dancing is kicking off right now with the official couples being announced on the BBC launch show.

Each season sees a brand new set of celebrities competing against one another to try to get their hands on the coveted Glitterball Trophy. The celebrities will first be paired up with professional dancers who will train them over the coming weeks.

This year, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will be presiding over the contest. They will also be performing in this first episode with last year’s champions, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal, also set to perform in the launch show.
