Antony is currently spending time away from the club while he addresses allegations of domestic abuse. The player denies any wrongdoing and has not been arrested or charged.
The assault allegations were made by three separate women including former partner Gabriela Cavallin, who has claimed the footballer assaulted her four times.
The 23-year-old is unavailable for this weekend’s game with Brighton after United and the player mutually agreed an indefinite leave of absence from the club.
United manager Ten Hag, who was responsible for bringing Antony to the club in a £85m deal with Ajax last year, has spoken out about the situation for the first time ahead of Saturday’s Premier League encounter but revealed very little about the ongoing situation.

Erik ten Hag revealed he has ‘no idea’ when Antony will return to his Man United team
The Dutchman admitted he has ‘no idea’ when Antony will return to the club.
However, Ten Hag did reveal that he has spoke to his player and provided an update on Antony’s condition.
‘Of course (I have spoken to him) he is disappointed, but he is ok,’ said Ten Hag.
The Brazilian is expected to remain in Brazil for the time being while he tries to defend himself from allegations before returning to club football.
Antony played no part in Brazil‘s recent 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru this month after being dropped from the squad and insisted he hasn’t done anything wrong in an emotional television interview.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag will also be without fellow first-team winger Jadon Sancho after the Englishman was ordered to train on his own.
The Englishman lashed out at Ten Hag on social media after the Red Devils boss claimed Sancho hadn’t met the required standard in training before United’s recent defeat against Arsenal.
Sancho has so far refused to apologise to Ten Hag over his statement but has removed it from his Twitter account.
