Rod Stewart did not believe he would find love again until he met his wife, Penny Lancaster. The couple share two children together and recently made a rare appearance with their 17-year-old son, Alastair.

British rock and pop singer Rod Stewart has had his fair share of failed relationships that almost made him give up on love. The singer dated several actresses and models and had two failed marriages. After the rollercoaster of emotions, he said his next step would be with a woman he did not like.

But his pessimistic outlook on love changed when he met supermodel Penny Lancaster. The two started dating in 1999, and after seven years, Stewart proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The “Baby Jane” singer credited Lancaster for helping him become a devoted husband and father. Now, he understood what it took to maintain a long and happy marriage. After 20 years together, Stewart could not believe how strong his relationship with his wife was.

The couple tied the knot in 2007 and welcomed two children, Alastair and Aiden. But starting a family together was not easy; Lancaster suffered two miscarriages and had her second son, Aiden, through IVF.

Stewart made a rare appearance with his wife and 17-year-old son, Alastair, at the 1901 Ballroom at the Andaz London. The 78-year-old rockstar showed up to the event in style, wearing a pair of white pants, a matching button-up shirt topped with a black blazer, and a statement belt.

His wife also kept the outfit classic with a long, flowy black dress paired with a cream blazer and black heels. Their teenage son copied his dad with his half-button-white shirt, checkered pants, and a black blazer.

The family looked good together, but fans were amazed at how good the 52-year-old looked. “Penny is naturally beautiful with great skin and hair. She looks good for 52, and most likely a few extra pounds has helped,” remarked a commenter, adding that Stewart was still “the best dressed.”
