Many will be hoping to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights again this evening.

Some of us have been lucky enough to see the beautiful spectacle on Friday and Saturday. As we’ve previously reported, a weather expert has said tonight we could be feasting our eyes on the Aurora Borealis once more.

NOAA (The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) says optimal viewing time for the aurora is generally within an hour or two of midnight—so between 10pm and 2am tonight.

Some of you will likely be asking how long does the visual tend to last? Well, it is understood the Northern Lights tend to last for between 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

On occasion, the sight can last longer. Here’s a list of great spots where you could see the Northern Lights in Yorkshire. With choice locations, including Ilkley Moor, Holme Moss in Holmfirth, and Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales.
