Huddersfield crime scene latest as woman, 36, arrested after discovery inside unassuming house

A woman has been arrested in Huddersfield after a cannabis farm was discovered inside a house on a residential street.

The factory was discovered in the quiet cul-de-sac of Hulbert Croft, Almondbury. West Yorkshire Police raided the home at 7.40am today, Monday, September 18.

The arrested woman, 36, remains in custody while enquiries continue. The surrounding neighbours awoke to a crime scene on their doorstep but said they had no clue as to what had happened.

A spokesperson for the force has now confirmed what was discovered inside the home. They said: “Officers executed a warrant at a property on Hulbert Croft, Almondbury, at 7.40am this morning, where a cannabis farm was found.

“A 36-year-old woman has been arrested and remains in custody at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Locals on Hulbert Croft said they were ‘in the dark’ about exactly what had happened in the area. A neighbour simply said: “I’ve seen them but I’m keeping myself to myself.”
