Kylian Mbappé confirms his departure from PSG after the end of the season
Mbappe arrived at PSG back in 2017 and has dominated Ligue 1 ever since. However, he didn’t get to win the UEFA Champions League despite many attempts. The closest he got was when his side lost the final against Bayern Munich in 2021. This is part of what Kylian Mbappe said on his full statement posted on his multiple social media accounts: “Hi everyone, it’s Kylian. I wanted to speak to you. I always said that I would speak to you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes on Saturday. It’s a lot of emotions. Many years I had the chance and the great honor to be a member of the biggest French club and one of the biggest in the world, which allowed me to arrive here.”
Kylian Mbappe is Real Madrid bound
This leaves an open window for Kylian Mbappe’s future club, the list is short but there is clearly one frontrunner. We could track back this love-hate story between Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid since 2017, when a reported meeting between the player’s family and Florentino Perez took place before he made his decision to leave AS Monaco. Ultimately, Mbappe went to PSG and Real Madrid has been ghosted for many years ever since. Multiple Spanish news media outlets kept reporting that Mbappe would become a Real Madrid player every summer with no luck. His running contract had to run its course and now he can decide where to go next. The obvious choice forhim would be Los Blancos but there is nothing 100% confirmed yet. Reports confirm the player is already in talks with Real Madrid since February. That’s the most logical destination for him.
