
Trains between Manchester and Leeds have been cancelled or stopped following a safety concern.
Transpennine Express has issued an update to customers as some services between Leeds and Manchester have been cancelled following a safety inspection of the track in Brighouse. Buses are now running instead of trains on some routes.
Railway passengers are facing disruption on Sunday (September 17) as services have been stopped heading both east-west and west-east. It is not yet known how long the issue will be ongoing.

TPE Customer Assist issued an update, they tweeted: “Due to a safety inspection of the track in the #Brighouse area, services are unable to run between #ManchesterPiccadilly / #ManchesterVictoria to #Leeds in both directions.”
