After a dominant 41-10 win against the Chicago Bears, Patrick Mahomes jokingly mentioned feeling pressure to get the ball to Travis Kelce because pop icon Taylor Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium.
Mahomes connected with Kelce for a touchdown in the third quarter, which was cheered on enthusiastically by Swift, as seen on cameras.
“I heard she was in the house,” Mahomes told Fox Sports after the game.
“I felt a little bit of pressure and so I knew I had to get it to Trav.
“Of course, it was on a route Travis, he does his own thing and just makes up a route and I throw it to him.
“I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”
Rumors about Kelce and Swift‘s relationship have been circulating, gaining more attention after a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“I threw the ball in her court,” Kelce noted.
“I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit. So, we’ll see what happens in the near future… Alright now.”
