A rare challenge for Verstappen today as he starts in the middle of the grid.

I is entirely possible we will see the Dutchman on the podium this afternoon.

The grid in full

Half an hour to go

We’re closing in on lights out in what should be a fascinating Grand Prix in Singapore.

It’s known as one of the most demanding tracks on the circuit.

We’re expecting to see one stop strategies from most teams.

The Ferrari drivers arived in style as they waved from vintage cars in Singapore.

A big day for Red Bull?

Red Bull currently lead Mercedes by 310 points in the Constructors’ Championship.

If Verstappen and Perez can come through the pack to secure a one-two today, they can win the championship as long as Mercedes do not score any points.

If one of the Red Bull drivers sets the fastest lap then they can afford for their rivals to score one point.

Aston Martin have confirmed that Lance Stroll will not race today after a 110mph crash in qualifying.

Stroll walked away from the incident but the decision has been taken to rest him anyway.

His teammate Fernando Alonso starts in seventh place.

Red Bull can win the Contructor’s Championship today if Mercedes pick up less than two points, but it’s not looking good after qualifying.

Verstappen starts in 11th, while Perez is two placed futher back in 13th.

Sainz starts on pole, with Russell next to him on the front line. Hamilton is fifth on the grid.

Good afternoon!
