Helen Skelton has addressed her time on Strictly Come Dancing after her former dance partner Gorka Marquez has unveiled his new 2023 pairing, Nikita Kanda.
The Spanish dancer, 33, has been paired with BBC Asian Network star Nikita Kanda, 28, for the new series of Strictly which launched on BBC One on Saturday.
And today Gorka, who is engaged to former Strictly celebrity Gemma Atkinson, was tagged in a message from his new partner on the show with their cute ‘Gorkita’ nickname.

Posting on Instagram, Nikita Kanda said: “TEAM GORKITA!!! So happy it’s all finally out, literally having the best time with Gorka Marquez, couldn’t wish for a better partner to be on this journey with.”
Gorka liked and then reshared the post which was backed by hundreds of fans.

After Gorka and Nikita’s post went out, Gorka’s former Strictly partner posted a hilarious message addressing the show.

Putting a caption over a pair of washing machines in her house, she said with a heavy dose of sarcasm: “Absolutely not missing Strictly at all. Nope. Not me. Not one bit.”
Last week, Helen Skelton has addressed her time on Strictly Come Dancing on Channel 5’s Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure.
She said: “Best thing I ever did. It’s not just dancing is it. It’s a weird world, unless you’re in it, you don’t get it.”
“I would argue we’re both grateful for the people we had because it’s the perfect paring. I could have moped about and said, oop not for me, but [Gorka] gave me the kick up the bum I needed at the right time.”
