XL bully ban live updates including what happens to banned dogs as breed to be made illegal in UK

It has been confirmed that the American XL bully dog breed will be banned in Britain by the end of the year following a series of attacks and fatalities.

Over the past five years, dog attacks have increased dramatically, with 10 fatal dog attacks in the UK last year. More than half of those fatal incidents involved an American XL Bully, which have become an increasingly popular breed.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed on Friday (September 15) plans to ban the “danger” breed in a video statement as he pledged to keep people safe. It comes after a man was arrested earlier this week after a dog attack left an 11-year-old girl with serious injuries.
