Gunshots from Maine shooting heard half mile away

This video posted to TikTok painted the picture of Lewiston, Maine: a quiet suburban area, with leaves on the ground indicating a chill of late fall in the night time air. Through the darkness, several loud pops pierce the silence, giving a war time feel to this city in New England.

“The fact that there are people being killed while hearing this….many prayers to the families,” said the most-liked comment on TikTok.

Based on the caption, the video claimed to be taken half a mile away from the shooting, which took place across multiple locations, including Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley on Mollison Way, and Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street in Lewiston, starting around 18:56 ET, according to local authorities.
