Heartbreaking footage shows the girl lying on the ground in a busy public park in Iran during the attack.

At first a group of people can be made out around a brick wall as screaming pours out from behind them.

Soon a girl wearing a t-shirt with her hair exposed in a ponytail can be seen writhing on the floor.

An older woman wearing full hijab is leaning down over her, forcing the teen onto the ground.

She is reportedly part of Iran’s twisted morality police force, who brutally enforce the Islamic state’s strict dress rules for women.

The girl appears to kick the woman as she scrambles around on the ground.

But the older woman simply walks around the crowd and tries to drag her up off the floor again.

Masih Alinejad, an Iranian journalist who shared the clip, said the person behind the camera told her what happened.

“So called Morality Police in Iran violently assaulted a teenager for not wearing a hijab in the city of Borujerd, Iran,” she wrote.

“The citizen who filmed this incident told me that a hijab police officer attempted to brutally arrest the teenage girl for wearing a T-shirt.

“However, because she screamed for help, people gathered and saved her from the police.”

The footage shows a growing group of people around the commotion, including men, women and children.

Iran’s Guidance Patrol, its morality police, has been particularly present across the country in recent weeks.

Shocking video has even shown them snatching women off the streets and bundling them into vans for wearing jeans in public.

Tehran announced a fresh crackdown on “anomalies” to its religious rules under the “Nour Project” last month.

The Jerusalem Post reports suggest crackdowns on behaviour have been violent.

Sexual harassment, beatings, arrests and the use of tasers have been reported around the country.

Widespread protests have been gaining traction in Iran since 2022 – after the death of Mahsa Amini.

Amini died in the custody of Tehran’s “morality police” after being arrested for violating Iran’s hijab rules.

She was beaten to death for wearing an “improper” hijab on September 16, 2022.

In what became known as the headscarf revolution, months of unrest followed.

Women of all ages ripped off their compulsory hijabs at public demonstrations in defiance of the nation’s feared morality police.

Hundreds of people were killed, including dozens of security personnel, in a brutal crackdown and thousands of protesters were arrested.

Reports of torture and death at the hands of officials have also surfaced.

Iran’s Morality Police

UNDER Iranian law, rooted in Sharia law, women must cover their hair with a hijab and wear long, loose-fitting clothing.

The Guidance Patrol – aka the morality police – are in charge of arresting women who violate the conservative dress code.

Tasked with ensuring Islamic morals are respected, they spend their days patrolling public spaces in vans to crack down on “improper” behaviour and clothing.

Women detained by cops are either given a warning or bundled into a van and whisked away to a “correctional facility” or a police station.

They are then lectured on how to dress before being released to their male relatives.

Since the 1980s, many women have been beaten to death by the callous morality police, or tortured into given false confessions.
