Anthony Scaramucci

Anthony Scaramucci is an American financier, entrepreneur, and political consultant. Anthony Scaramucci is well known as the White House director of Communications from July 21 to July 31, 2017. Similarly, he is the Founder and Managing Partner of SkyBridge Capital, an investments firm with around $10 billion in assets under management.

Early life

Anthony Scaramucci was born on 6th January 1964, in Long Island, New York. As of 2022, Anthony is 58 years old and American by nationality. Likewise, he follows the Christian religion and his sun sign is Capricorn. Similarly, he was raised in a lower-middle-class family in Port Washington.

Moreover, he was born to his mother Marie DeFeo Scaramucci, and his father, Alexander Scaramucci, a construction worker. In addition, Anthony has an older brother David Scaramucci, and a sister Susan Scaramucci.

Talking about his educational status, Anthony joined Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School in Port Washington and graduated in 1982. In his high school, he was served as student council president. Career

After graduation, Anthony directly worked at Goldman Sachs. Between 1989 and 1996, he worked at Goldman Sachs’s investment banking, and private wealth management divisions. In 1996, he left Goldman Sachs and founded Oscar Capital Management with his colleague Andrew Bosshardt.

Likewise, he founded the investment firm ‘SkyBridge Capital’ in 2005. He was a fundraiser for Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008. Also, he is the chairman of the SkyBridge Alternatives Conference, or ‘SALT’ conference, which was launched in 2009. On 21st July 2017, Anthony was appointed White House Communications Director.

Besides that, he is the author of four books: ‘Goodbye Gordon Gekko (2010)’, ‘The Little Book of Hedge Funds (2012)’, ‘Hopping Over the Rabbit Hole (2016)’, and ‘Trump, the Blue-Collar President (2018).’

Political career

In the past, Anthony Scaramucci was a staunch ‘Democrat’ and has supported the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama. Anthony never endorsed Trump as the president and had supported Jeb Bush or Scott Walker as the Republican candidates for the presidential elections. Similarly, he was the Chief Strategy Officer of the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank in June 2017.

Up to July 2019, Anthony supported Donald’s campaign for his re-elections, but he changed his opinions quickly. When Trump commented on black women, he called him “racist.” In the same year, he said that he would not support Donald Trump in the 2020 elections.

Controversies

Anthony came into controversy after launching a strongly worded attack on the members of the Trump Administration. After ten days, at the recommendation of President Donald Trump, the new White House Chief of Staff, John F. Kelly dismissed the case. Since then, he has been critical of Trump in the media and the support for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

In the year 2011, Anthony Scaramucci received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, New York Award in the Financial Services category. Likewise, in 2016, he was 85th in Worth magazines ‘Power 100: The 100 Most Powerful People in Global Finance’.
