Ashley Park, the star of Emily in Paris, has had a bit of a health scare. She’s on the mend now, but it was a close call.
She had tonsillitis that got really bad. So bad, in fact, that it turned into a serious infection. This landed her in the ICU for a bit.
Now, she’s in recovery mode. She’s been reflecting on the first few weeks of 2024. The word that keeps coming to mind for her is “grateful”. She shared these thoughts in an Instagram post on January 19th.
She was on holiday in December, ringing in the New Year, when it all started. It was just tonsillitis at first, but then it spiraled. It turned into critical septic shock, and several of her organs got infected.
Despite the initial prognosis, she’s grateful her health has improved. It’s been a tough journey, but she’s getting through it.
Ashley, who’s also known for her role in Joy Ride, shared some photos and videos from her hospital stay. In the same post, she confirmed her relationship with Emily in Paris costar Paul Forman.
She had a heartfelt message for him, thanking him for his support. It’s clear he’s been a rock for her during this challenging time.
