Michelle Young’s surprising love came to an end in the emotional season finale of The Bachelorette when she accepted a proposal from Nayte Olukoya. The proposal was accompanied by a stunning diamond and platinum engagement ring from Neil Lane, the official jewelry designer of The Bachelor franchise. Michelle’s ring features a pear-shaped diamond in the centre surrounded by two tapering baguette diamonds. It is also set with 46 round brilliant cut diamonds totaling more than 3 carats.
While proposing in an exquisitely romantic way, Nayte told Michelle, “The very first night I met you, I knew right then and there that we had a connection that I wanted to hold onto. The second night that we were together, we talked about running away together. And I’m standing in front of you right now, and the feelings are the same. I want to run away with you. I want to run away forever with the woman that I’ve come to love.”
The gorgeous proposal
‘Michelle, I love you. I love you. I don’t ever want to let go. I am absolutely crazy for you. Michelle Anne Young, will you marry me?” Nayte asked her. ‘Yes, of course,’ replied Michelle.

While the proposal was taking place, it is said that Michelle broke Nayte when she told him that her heart was telling her to take a different route. Given her history with Brandon, she sobbingly admitted that he will always have a portion of her heart.
“I truly wish you nothing but happiness. I truly mean that. Even if it’s not with me. You’ve been worth it every second. Giving my heart was worth it. It’s something that I’ll never regret. Talking about the breakup, Brandom opined that he believed with all his heart that Michelle had made a mistake and that he should fight with her. But he admitted that it was not a mistake on her part. “I think she followed her heart, and that’s where her heart led, and at the end of the day, like, what can I do about it?”
Kaitlyn had told viewers earlier in the show that one of the most traumatic breakups in Bachelorette history was coming, and she was right because Brandon took it hard.
