Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have been through the wringer. Life’s been anything but a bed of roses for them. Bryan, a chiropractor, recently filed for divorce. Rachel, a former Bachelorette, addressed the situation on her podcast, Higher Learning, with Van Lathan.
She got a bit emotional during the Jan. 5 episode. “Didn’t think I’d get all teary,” she admitted. She expressed gratitude for the support she’s received. “Thanks to everyone who’s reached out,” she said. “Still trying to get back to everyone. It’s only when stuff like this happens that you realize how solid your circle is.”
Rachel touched on the breakup. “It’s a tough time, obviously,” she said. “You’ve probably seen the headlines and are wondering why I’m still working. Truth is, I need a distraction. The best way to do that? Doing something I love, like Higher Learning.”
She’s determined to get through the episode, she said. But she’s not ready to spill all the details about the split. “I’ll get there,” she promised. “But not right now. Just taking it one day at a time.”
On Jan. 2, E! News got a hold of Bryan’s divorce filing. He listed New Year’s Eve as the separation date. “Irreconcilable differences” was the reason he cited for the breakup. The paperwork also mentioned that he’s seeking spousal support.
