Gerard Blanc was a French singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. He was active from 1969 to 2009. Mr. Blanc rose to prominence during the 70s as the band member of Marin Circus, which was formed in the late 1960s.

In 1980, he launched a solo career after helping to produce Princess Stephanie of Monaco’s debut album.

Four of his singles made the French charts, including the summer hit “Une Autre Histoire” (#2 in 1987) and “Du soleil dans la nuit” (#10) in particular.

Brigitte Skiavi-Blanc Wanted To Die With Her Husband

“We had promised to die together,” Brigitte Skiavi-Blanc revealed during her appearance on a French television show, Ça commence aujourd’hui, on 1 February 2023.

The widow of Jean-Pierre Marielle, Agathe Natanson, was also present in the program hosted by Faustine Bollaert. Brigitte described how tough it had been to deal with the singer-songwriter’s passing.

She said that after her spouse’s death, she wanted to die. “I felt like leaving because he died in my arms at home,” said Brigitte.

While detailing the last moment of the singer, his wife said, “Gérard Blanc passed away one evening at home while lying on my shoulder.”

According to Brigitte Skiavi, Gerard told her, “I’m not feeling very well.” The pair had just finished working on a video montage together on a sofa on the day he passed away.

The French singer-guitarist breathed his last on the shoulder of his lady love.
