Well, folks, we’re kicking off the year with a shocker from Bachelor Nation. Seems like Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay, from The Bachelorette, are calling it a day. Four years of marriage, and now it’s over.

E! News got their hands on some court documents. Turns out, Bryan, the chiropractor, is the one who filed for divorce. He did it on Jan. 2, and the reason? Irreconcilable differences.

You might remember, Bryan and Rachel got hitched back in August 2019. They met and got engaged on her season of The Bachelorette in 2017. Bryan listed New Year’s Eve as their separation date. And get this, he’s asking for spousal support.

Bryan didn’t keep it all hush-hush either. He confirmed the split on Instagram. He’s not usually one to air his dirty laundry in public. “If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I don’t like to put my personal affairs on social media,” he wrote on Jan. 2. He likes to keep things private for the family.

But he did share that he’s proud to be a chiropractor and a husband. “Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far,” he said.

However, things aren’t always as they seem. Bryan and Rachel have decided to “part ways and start anew.” It’s a tough call, but sometimes it’s the right one. “My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man,” Bryan added. “But sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.”

And what about Rachel’s side of the story? E! News reached out to her for a comment. So far, no response.
