Cameron once shared on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers podcast in 2022, “He’s really taught me to value myself a lot more.” She admitted that this was an unexpected benefit of marriage. Why? Well, she was accustomed to seeking validation from other sources.
Benji and Raddix, however, changed her perspective. They became her world. Cameron confessed, “We know that, no matter what, we can just go and be just a family anywhere and we’re fine.” She added, “We don’t need any of the things that we have—other than each other.”
Funny thing though, they might need a record player now. Benji let slip in a rare comment about his family life that music was a constant in their home.
“The song in our house right now is ‘Rock and a Hard Place,’ by Bailey Zimmerman,” the 44-year-old revealed on TODAY in October. He chuckled as he recalled his daughter’s misheard lyrics, “My daughter always says, ‘Play “dam is broken.”‘”
He clarified, laughing, that the actual line was, “It ain’t broke yet, but damn, it needs fixin’.” He added, “We’re listening to records nonstop.” So yeah, a record player might just be a necessity after all.
