Craig Chamberlin Spokane Death Cause And Obituary
According to the statement released by the family, Craig Chamberlin, long-time sheriff deputy of Spokane County, passed away on Sunday evening (30 April 2023).
The statement didn’t mention any death cause. “With a heavy heart, we are announcing the passing of our dad, our friend, our superhero, Craig Chamberlin,” reads the statement.
Chamberlin’s daughter, Courtney Chamberlin, launched a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral expenses. The devastated daughter said Craig’s death was unforeseeable, and the family is still in shock.
“He was known and loved by so many people, and this is as heartbreaking and shocking to you as it is to us. Thank you for all of your love and support,” she added.
In February 2022, Chamberlin declared his candidacy for sheriff. However, former sheriff Ozzie Knezovich reportedly fired him the very following week. During an internal investigation, Knezovich claimed Chamberlin lied, which Chamberlin denied.
In April 2022, Chamberlin finally announced his withdrawal from the race. Wade Nelson and Michael Zollars, two former sheriff’s office workers, decided to compete for the position last year due to his withdrawal.
After leaving the sheriff’s office, Chamberlin worked as a marketer and spokesman for SERVPRO of Spokane Valley, which offers cleanup and repair for fire, water, and mold damage.
