In 1994, he began his professional career with Beovukin and played there until 1998. He won gold with the FR Yugoslavia under-22 national team at the 1998 ’22 and Under’ European Championship. At the age of 21, he joined FMP, a YUBA League club in the Belgrade suburb of Železnik. Despite the club’s recent Yugoslav Cup win, they decided to sell off their cup-winning squad and focus on developing young talent in an academy-like environment, led by owner Nebojša Čović and sporting director Ratko Radovanović.

In the 1997-98 season, despite losing some of their key players, the team managed to make the YUBA League playoff finals. However, the squad experienced a massive exodus of players such as Nikola Jestratijević, Goran Bošković, and Dejan Radonjić. When coach Milojević took over in the summer of 1998, the team consisted mostly of young players including Goran Nikolić, Dragan Basarić, Veselin Petrović, Aleksandar Smiljanić, Aleksandar Matić, and Mladen Šekularac who was only 17 years old. Another new addition to the team was Ognjen Aškrabić, a 19-year-old power forward-center who joined from Beovuk.

In the 1998-99 season, FMP was led by coach Boško Đokić and later taken over by coach Aco Petrović. Playing as a small forward, Milojević had a limited role on the team due to his poor outside shooting. However, he played 10-15 minutes per game as the fourth or fifth offensive option. In the first game of the league season, FMP managed to beat the reigning champions Crvena Zvezda 73-72, thanks in part to Vesa Petrović’s impressive 21 points and strong defense.

During week 6, FMP caused a significant upset by defeating the favored Partizan 102-84. The team was led by Petrović, who scored 25 points. Due to injuries to the team’s front-line players, coach Petrović gave small forward role player Milojević an opportunity at power forward during a few warm-up games.

Despite being considered undersized for the position, Milojević thrived in the new role, and coach Petrović continued to play him at the four positions. The young team played high-energy basketball and managed to secure wins against both Partizan and Crvena Zvezda, finishing the season with an 11-11 mid-table league record. However, they did not make the playoffs due to the NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia, which commenced on March 24, 1999.
