Emma Stone is living the dream, straight out of la la land. She’s the Cruella actress who’s going home a winner from the 2024 Golden Globes.
She bagged the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy. And guess what? It’s for her role in “Poor Things”.
She wasn’t alone in the race, though. Jennifer Lawrence (No Hard Feelings), Fantasia Barrino (The Color Purple), Natalie Portman (May December), Alma Pöysti (Fallen Leaves), and Margot Robbie (Barbie) were all in the running. Want to know who else won? Check out the complete list of winners here.
When it was time for her acceptance speech, Emma started with a shout out. And it was for her hubby, Dave McCary. They’ve got a cute 2-year-old daughter, Louise Jean McCary.
“Dave, gotta start with you,” Emma said, all lovey-dovey. It’s not every day we hear her talk about their relationship. “I love you so much,” she added, “Thanks for everything.”
But she’s 35 and not just about the mushy stuff. She had some words for her “Poor Things” co-stars too. Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, and Ramy Youssef, she’s talking about you guys.
“Absolute joy, every day,” she shared. And she made sure to mention the rest of the cast. “Incredible,” she called them.
