Kanye West’s creative conflicts with Adidas are growing.

The rapper has taken to Instagram to vent about his dissatisfaction with his working relationship with the brand — or lack thereof. He’s also been removing social media postings along the road, which has been his recent practice.

For years, West has collaborated with Adidas on his Yeezy brand. However, West, 45, has not had many pleasant things to say about the athletic firm that hosts his line recently. PEOPLE’s request for comment was not answered to by Adidas.

Everything you need to know about West’s continuing spat with Adidas is right here.

Adidas introduced their Adilette 22 sandals in May, which are similar to West’s Yeezy slides. According to Highsnobiety, the rapper turned to Instagram on June 13 to criticize the company. In a now-deleted post, West allegedly stated that the slides are “a fake YEEZY made by adidas themselves.”

“I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more,” West stated, according to Highsnobiety, taking aim at Adidas CEO Kasper Rrsted. “This is for everyone who wants to express themselves but is afraid they may lose their contract or be labeled insane… These shoes show the disdain that individuals in positions of authority have for talent.”

The Adilette and West’s Yeezy slip do resemble one other. They’re both neutral-toned thick slide sandals in the same price range. Adidas did not respond to the comparisons.

Since 2019, Adidas has celebrated Yeezy Day in early August. However, West told Complex this year that the day is not sanctioned by him in any way. “Adidas made up the Yeezy Day idea without my approval,” he claimed in a direct message to the site, adding that the firm reprinted earlier Yeezy models, added hues, and hired new staff particularly for the brand without consulting him.

In early September, West resorted to Instagram once more to accuse Adidas management of stealing his ideas and shutting him out of critical product and planning meetings.

“To adidas’ creative director, Alasdhair Willis, I’ve worked on songs with your father-in-law [sic]. How can you watch adidas do what they’ve done to a fellow creative and not say anything, never meeting or calling me? Why was I forced to do this in public?” According to Page Six, West posted on Instagram and then erased it.

However, West returned to Instagram a few hours later to implore his supporters to stop posting memes about Alasdhair Willis.

“Please remove any Alasdhair [Willis] memes. I feel he is a decent man who will contact me and assist me “He wrote and then removed it.

Also in a deleted post, per Okayplayer , West wrote, “The fact [adidas] felt they could color my shoes and name them without my approval is really wild. I’m very interested in creating something that will transform the world and something I can pass on to my children. They attempted to buy me out for $1 billion [USD]. My royalties alone for next year will be $500 million [USD].”

According to Highsnobiety, West has also launched social media assaults on Adidas SVP Daniel Cherry III and other members of JP Morgan & Chase’s and Adidas’ executive boards.

In the midst of West’s outrage at Adidas, several of his celebrity pals have gathered behind him to offer support and even boycott the athletic company. Other Black celebrities, in particular, are rallying behind West, accusing the brand of using him to push its own agenda rather than giving credit where credit is due.

T.I. posted to Instagram on September 6 with a shot of one of Adidas’ pairs of sneakers that resemble a pair of Yeezy sneakers. A red “T.I. drew a “X” over the photo and wrote in the caption, “@addidas this WHACK AF!!! I STAND BY YOU!!!! That’s not correct.”

Swizz Beatz also posted the photo on Instagram with a similar message on September 6. He stated, “I normally mind my own business, but this is completely incorrect! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This individual made this game-changing idea and should be regarded as a creative genius! YE is merely asking for his work to be valued and not stolen, which does not seem insane to me!! We are not purchasing these!!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas you’re meant to be original, so please do the right thing!!!”

On Sept. 6, Diddy shared an Instagram screenshot of a rumored text conversation he had with West, in which he asked him how he could assist in the matter. He also posted the identical photo of the crossed-out sneaker. He stated, “Since the days of Run-DMC, @Adidas has utilized Hip Hop to promote its brand and profit from our culture. BUT NOW WE ARE MORE THAN JUST CONSUMERS; WE ARE OWNERS. Adidas is culturally relevant because of @KanyeWest and YEEZY. WE ARE AWARE OF OUR VALUE! I’m no longer going to wear Adidas until they make this right!! We must help one another!! Please, everyone, repost this!!”

Nia Long, an actress, reshared Diddy’s post on Instagram with the description, “@adidas, that part!!!

Thank you, @diddy and @kanyewest! WE KNOW OUR WORTH!”A Very Backstreet Christmas, the Backstreet Boys’ first holiday album, will be released on October 14 and will include both original songs and covers.

When putting up the record, band members AJ McLean and Nick Carter told Variety that they discovered inspiration in an unexpected source – another former boyband member.

“Nick would be the first to tell you he really wanted ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ to be the inspiration for one song,” McLean, 44, of Justin Timberlake’s single, told the publication. “He wanted that really happy, funky vibe.”

“It’s funny because there’s all this stuff about Backstreet versus *NSYNC, but we’re all about good songs and good movies and Trolls was a movie we watched a lot with our kids,” Carter, 42, said of the 2016 film “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”

“Justin wrote a really great song,” Carter added, “and we wanted to write a happy, uplifting song with the same feel.” “Especially given the state of the world right now.” ‘Let’s put some nice things out there,’ we thought, so we created ‘Happy Days.’”

The holiday record will comprise classics like “White Christmas and “Winter Wonderland” as well as fresh songs. The first song, “Last Christmas,” a rendition of Wham”Last !’s Christmas,” was released on September 6.

“This is Backstreet in its truest form,” McLean stated of the new album. “It’s very mature, and the vocals sound fantastic.” We sound better as a group than we have in years. My wife’s like, ‘This will be on repeat in our house.’ In July, she begins playing Christmas songs.”
